Call tree

Review the whole call tree, not a single moment.

CodeTracer shows the complete tree of function calls in the recorded execution, with navigation and filtering — instead of a stack trace frozen at one instant.

  • →Walk the full execution call tree
  • →Navigate and filter to what matters
  • →Jump straight to the frame that changed a value

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do reviewers need the desktop app?+

Only when reviewing replays for C/C++, Rust and other natively compiled languages on Linux. Replays for Python, Ruby and other interpreted languages can be fully explored in the CodeTracer web IDE.

What languages are supported today?+

Python and Ruby (Linux & macOS, with full web replay), plus C/C++, Rust and others (Linux desktop replay). New languages are added frequently.

Is Windows supported?+

Desktop replay runs on Linux today, with macOS support for the interpreted languages. Windows support is on the roadmap — reach out if it matters to your team.

What's inside a trace?+

The execution trace of your program captures every program state over time, so you can replay and inspect the whole run deterministically.

Can I use my own AI agent?+

Yes. You can call agents from within CodeTracer or use external agents.

Can I attach multiple replays to a single PR?+

Yes — you can attach an arbitrary number of replays as links. They open directly in the CodeTracer web IDE.
